Coca-Cola To Distribute HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria Prevention Playing Cards Among Chinese Migrant Workers

Singapore Health Sciences Authority Alerts Consumers To An Illegal Product -”ASAM URAT FLU TULANG, PJ. DEWANDARU”

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) warns consumers not to take an illegal medicinal product labelled as "Asam Urat Flu Tulang, PJ. Dewandaru", which has been found to be adulterated with Western medicinal ingredients, diclofenac, dexamethasone and paracetamol. These medicinal ingredients have the potential to cause serious adverse effects. In particular, diclofenac and dexamethasone should only be taken under strict medical supervision as prescribed by a medical doctor. [click link for full article]

Stop TB Partnership Delivers Treatments For 10 Million People In Six Years

European Scientists Call For More Systematic Diagnosis Of Aspirin Hypersensitivity And Publish New Consensus Guidelines On How To Diagnose

A position paper on the diagnosis of aspirin hypersensitivity by a team of European scientists from the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network (GA²LEN) has just been published on the Allergy Journal website. Designed for health professionals, the guidelines propose detailed protocols for challenge tests. AMA/ACOSH National Tobacco Scoreboard 2007 Awards - Western Australia Wins Again

AMA (Australian Medical Association) President, Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, today announced the winners (and losers) in the 2007 AMA/Australian Council on Smoking and Health (ACOSH) National Tobacco Scoreboard. The Scoreboard allocates points to each State and Territory over a number of categories, including legislation, to track how effective each Government has been in combating smoking over the last 12 months.
