Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth (NYSE: WYE), announced that it is withdrawing its application for an extension to the European Marketing Authorization for TYGACIL(R) (tigecycline). This extension sought approval of TYGACIL for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).
